Taking over Post Avenue in Westbury on May 30th, 2026, this street fair brings together a diverse vendor community for a day-long celebration of local makers, craftspeople, and small businesses. The mixed vendor lineup typical of street fairs like this means you'll find everything from handmade crafts and artisan goods to home-based businesses, local food producers, and specialty retailers. It's the kind of event where a jewelry maker sets up next to a local baker, and a screen printer works alongside someone selling vintage finds or home décor items. Street fairs draw the kind of foot traffic that loves to browse and discover, with families, neighbors, and regular shoppers moving through the blocks looking for unique finds and supporting local vendors. The late May timing positions this fair in the heart of spring, when the weather in Westbury encourages outdoor shopping and community gatherings. This is prime season for street events on Long Island, when people are in the mood to get outside, explore their neighborhoods, and shop local. The festival atmosphere creates an energy that goes beyond a typical market setup, with the street itself becoming the venue and the event drawing both casual browsers and intentional shoppers looking for handcrafted items and small-batch goods. If you sell anything from crafts to food to services, a mixed vendor event like the Westbury Street Fair on Post Avenue offers exposure to a broad audience in an active shopping environment. Street fairs succeed when they attract a real cross-section of the community, and the variety of vendor types means customers come expecting to find different things, making them open to discovering what you're selling. This is a one-time event, so it represents a focused opportunity to reach Westbury shoppers and the surrounding area on a specific spring day.
