The North Carolina Apple Festival is held annually over Labor Day Weekend in downtown Hendersonville, NC, celebrating the area's apple harvest. The 2026 festival runs September 4-7, 2026. The festival features arts and crafts vendors offering handmade work in categories including ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, metalwork, mixed media/skin care, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and wood. All work must be handmade by the applying artist; no mass-produced items, machine tooling, or kit-based work is permitted. Booth spaces are 10' x 10'. Food vendors include both regular (cooked on-site) and pre-packaged (jars of honey, sauces, dips, fudge, baked goods). Selection committee meets throughout the spring; successful vendors are notified by April 15, 2026. Apple grower spaces are restricted to NC Apple Growers Association members from Henderson County (currently waitlisted). Non-profits enter a random drawing in April.
