About Metu Design Studio I'm Metu, a professional artist, graphic designer, and visual storyteller with over 45 years of experience in fine art, illustration, and visual communication. A graduate of Pratt Institute with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Arts and Graphic Design, I've spent decades creating original artwork that celebrates African heritage, cultural identity, spirituality, history, and the beauty of the human experience. Through Metu Design Studio, I create original paintings, digital fine art, portraits, illustrations, and collectible canvas reproductions. My work combines traditional artistic principles with contemporary digital techniques, rich colors, dramatic lighting, and intricate details. What makes my artwork special is that every piece tells a story. My creations are inspired by African civilizations, ancestral wisdom, Kemetic symbolism, and the sacred connections between humanity, nature, and the universe. I don't simply create images to decorate walls. I create visual experiences designed to inspire thought, awaken cultural awareness, evoke emotion, and connect people with their heritage.
