I started making jewelry in honor of my father who opened emigrated from the Dominican Republic to New York in the early 60s. He went on to study jewelry design and repair in Brooklyn. When we moved to Lancaster, PA in 1972, he opened a jewelry store on King Street, in the Stevens House in Downtown Lancaster. After he passed away in January 2017, I started experimenting with assembling necklaces, and handcrafting beaded bracelets and wire rings with genuine stones. I decided to sell the jewelry to raise funds for our missions partners in the Philippines and Kenya. I believe there is purpose in the creativity that God has gifted me with, and the seed my father planted in me to use my hands to create beautiful jewelry.
