Held the first weekend in July at Twin Lakes Park in Latrobe, PA, this annual festival brings together over 100 juried artists and makers for a multi-day celebration of fine art and handmade crafts. The festival's four-day run from Thursday through Sunday creates a substantial event that draws serious art buyers and casual visitors alike, giving vendors multiple days to connect with audiences interested in quality, original work. The park setting provides a scenic backdrop for the festival experience, with the natural landscape complementing the artwork on display. The Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival attracts a diverse vendor community focused on fine art and handmade goods. You'll find painters, sculptors, jewelry makers, fiber artists, woodworkers, and other skilled craftspeople selling original creations. The juried selection process means vendors are bringing curated, high-quality work rather than mass-produced items, which tends to draw customers actively seeking authentic, artisan pieces. This makes the festival appealing to makers who invest in their craft and want to show alongside other serious artists. Beyond the vendor booths, the festival offers live music and poetry performances throughout the weekend, plus food vendors, creating a well-rounded community event. This blend of programming draws a mix of art enthusiasts, families, and people looking for a cultural summer outing. The early July timing makes it an accessible festival for many vendors planning their summer market schedule. For artists and handmade goods makers in western Pennsylvania and surrounding regions, the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival represents a well-established summer event with a reputation for attracting quality-focused shoppers and attendees who value craftsmanship and originality.
