The People's Open Market at Kapolei Community Park is a weekly farmers market that operates on Sundays from 7:00 am to 8:30 am year-round. As a government-supported farmers market, vendors sell off-grade, ungraded, and surplus produce at prices typically 35 percent below retail, making fresh local produce highly affordable. Happening on May 9th, this Mother's Day focused festival in Kapolei brings together a curated selection of local makers and artisans offering thoughtful gift options for the mothers and mother figures in your life. Unlike typical retail shopping, a festival like this gives you access to handcrafted and unique items you won't find in chain stores, often at prices that reflect the maker's direct effort rather than corporate markup. The Kapolei Mother's Day Gift Fair draws both experienced gift-givers looking for something personal and last-minute shoppers seeking meaningful alternatives to standard retail fare. You'll find a mixed vendor landscape typical of community festivals, with local makers offering everything from artisanal bath and beauty products to jewelry, home décor, apparel, and personalized gifts. Some vendors specialize in locally-made treats and specialty foods that make excellent gifts, while others focus on handcrafted wellness items, art, or accessories. This variety means there's something for different tastes and budgets, whether someone's looking for a luxury splurge or a thoughtful under-20 gift. The festival atmosphere also means you can browse multiple vendors in one location, making it efficient for anyone juggling multiple gift-giving occasions. For vendors, the Kapolei Mother's Day Gift Fair represents an opportunity to reach a motivated, gift-focused audience during one of the year's key shopping occasions. Attendees are specifically looking to support local makers and find distinctive items, which aligns well with what craft vendors offer. The May timing catches the holiday season directly, so foot traffic tends to be strong from people planning ahead or handling last-minute needs. If you sell handmade goods, personalized items, beauty products, home goods, or specialty gifts, this Kapolei-based festival is worth considering for your vendor calendar.
