National Tom Sawyer Days is a multi-day family festival celebrating Mark Twain's literary heritage in downtown Hannibal during the July 4th weekend. The event features a vibrant arts and crafts show operated by the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal, where vendors sell handmade goods in an outdoor block-square park setting. The festival also includes a carnival, flea market, parade, fence painting contests, live music, mud volleyball, fireworks over the Mississippi River, and various other activities.
