The fair has operated continuously since 1910 and is organized by the Goshen Agricultural Society. It features competitive livestock shows including dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, goats, swine, and poultry, alongside draft horse and oxen pulls, woodcutting competitions, truck pulls, and showmanship contests. Vendors operate throughout the fairgrounds selling food and craft items, with amusement rides and games provided by Tufano Amusement. The fair attracts approximately 30,000 visitors annually from Connecticut and surrounding states, making it one of Connecticut's most significant agricultural events. The three-day weekend event opens Saturday and Sunday at 8 AM, closing at 9 PM, and Monday from 8 AM to 6 PM.
