Stillroom Co.

**Stillroom Co.** is an independently owned specialty retail and educational business based in Troy, Ohio, inspired by the historical stillroom, the place in traditional households where herbs were dried, spices stored, foods preserved, fragrances prepared, and generations of practical household knowledge passed along. We bring those traditions into modern life through an eclectic collection of carefully curated merchandise, original handcrafted products, and educational experiences. Our offerings include culinary herbs and spices, loose-leaf teas, specialty pantry foods, honey, traditional baking and fermentation supplies, botanical bath and body products, essential oils, home fragrances, candles, heritage household goods, vintage treasures, artisan-made gifts, and seasonal collections. We also develop historically inspired preparations, creative DIY kits, botanical projects, and thoughtfully assembled gift sets. What makes Stillroom Co. different is the connection between the products we sell and the stories, skills, and traditions behind them. Drawing on nearly three decades of historical research, particularly historical foodways and domestic life, we explore the practical knowledge that shaped everyday living and find ways to make it relevant, useful, and enjoyable today. Education is central to our mission. Through original publications, recipes, demonstrations, and planned classes and workshops, we encourage customers to rediscover traditional skills, experiment with unfamiliar ingredients, explore botanical arts, and develop a deeper appreciation for the history of everyday things. Stillroom Co. is more than a shop. It is a place for curiosity, creativity, discovery, and the preservation of knowledge, where history meets modern living and even the most ordinary household object has a story worth telling.
