As a proud NYC public school teacher by day and cookie baker by night, I started this business as a creative outlet that quickly turned into a passion project. The name “Smart Cookie” was inspired by my students — a little nod to the classroom, where I spend my days helping young minds grow. What began as baking for friends, school events, and coworkers grew into something bigger when word started to spread. I’m inspired by the joy a really good cookie can bring, and I love experimenting with nostalgic flavors and classic treats that feel both homemade and elevated.
