Kustom China blends North American street and pop art with East Asian culture, and Japan is one of our biggest influences. Our designer toys and merch draw on Japan’s designer-toy and vinyl figure tradition, kawaii character design, and streetwear culture, as well as classic motifs like [koi, waves, cranes, yokai, etc.]. We share Japan’s love of collectible, limited-run craft, where a small object carries a story. Because our brand began in China, we also draw on the shared East Asian heritage of folklore, calligraphy and symbolism that connects both cultures, and reinterpret it in a modern, collectible style.
