Our story
TreeSavers Handcrafted is a small, local maker based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, creating reusable, 100% cotton alternatives to disposable paper products. From paper towels and napkins to facial cloths and yarn scrubbies, each product is designed to help households save money and trees, and the accessories make it easy for people to switch from paper to cloth for good.
TreeSavers cotton products and Hang’em Up clips are handmade from globally sourced raw materials. The paper towel replacements are produced in small batches from 100% cotton flannel that is pre-washed and pre-shrunk before being finished with serged edges.
From time to time, TreeSavers brings in an item made by someone else, either to test it or to round out the offerings, and always requests approval from event organizers before offering it.
Launched in November 2025 at the Fine Art of Fiber in Glencoe, Illinois, TreeSavers continues to sell at juried craft markets throughout the Chicago area. The usual setup is a 10 x 10 space, indoors or outdoors, at events of two to three days, with the full inventory on hand each time. Our mission is simple: to keep finding new ways to help families save money and live more sustainably.
