Our story
Kawagiri Tea is a Pickering-based curator of specialty Japanese tea:
small-batch, single-cultivar loose-leaf teas sourced directly from small
farms in Shizuoka, plus matcha, roasted hojicha, Japanese black tea, and
our hand-blended Hojicha Chai. We've vended at GTA markets and festivals
since 2025, including Main Street Markham Farmers' Market, RELISH The
Foodie Event, Taste of North York, Markham Jazz Festival, and MUJI
community pop-ups. Every tea is labelled with its cultivar, farm, and
harvest, and our booth offers complimentary tastings so shoppers can try
before they buy. Packaged teas and sampler sets make easy gifts.
