My work begins with reclaiming discarded textiles—including clothing, bed linens, curtains, and discontinued fabric samples—and transforming them into new, functional pieces. Rather than allowing these materials to end up in landfills, I carefully select, clean, deconstruct, and reimagine them, giving each fabric a renewed purpose. Through quilting, sewing, piecing, and other fiber art techniques, I preserve the history and character of the original textiles while creating one-of-a-kind works that celebrate craftsmanship, sustainability, and thoughtful design. I also incorporate fresh and naturally dried flowers, herbs, and citrus into selected works, adding texture, fragrance, and seasonal beauty. These botanical elements further reflect my commitment to thoughtfully using natural materials that might otherwise be discarded. Each piece reflects my commitment to reducing textile waste and demonstrating that reclaimed materials can be transformed into beautiful, durable, and meaningful creations. I started selling in June 2025, in prior years I would make different items and give them away as a gift or raffle basket. My niece talked me into setting up a business.
