This website is dedicated to the beautiful women who have touched my life and helped shaped the person I am today. The Fira and Esther earrings are named in honor of my cherished European-Cuban grandmother. She was one of the most extraordinary people I have ever known, embodying kindness, wisdom, generosity, resilience, and timeless grace. My grandmother taught me how to make earrings after taking a jewelry making class in her eighties, just one of the many creative courses and activities she continued to pursue well into her late nineties. We cherished our time together, sharing our creations and the joy that came from expressing ourselves through art. My lifelong appreciation for earrings began early, perhaps because my ears were pierced at just three months old, a Latin tradition passed down through my Cuban family, as my mother’s were pierced at only six weeks. In 2021, we lost my beloved grandmother at the age of 99. Though she is missed beyond measure, her spirit continues to inspire me and everything I create. This space is a celebration of her life and legacy and of all the remarkable women who have shaped my journey through both artful earrings, necklaces, and digital photography designed to capture beauty, strength, connection, and a single, unforgettable moment in time.
