I’m Nakeesha Annigew Franklin, founder and CEO of Brazen Beauties LLC, home of Bonded by Brazen Beauties Permanent Jewelry & Piercings. Jewelry isn’t something I just started doing—it has been my career for more than 27 years. My background spans fine jewelry, diamonds, custom design, jewelry repair, appraisal, bench work, sourcing, production, sales, and management. I’ve spent decades learning the industry from the corporate showroom to the bench, wholesale market, and now entrepreneurship. I hold professional jewelry education and credentials through organizations including GIA, IGI, AJP, and the Diamond Council of America, and my experience includes diamond dealing, custom jewelry design, CAD, and master bench jewelry work. I created Brazen Beauties because I wanted to bring the expertise of a traditional fine-jewelry environment into a more personal, modern, and mobile experience. Today, Brazen Beauties offers permanent jewelry, curated ear styling, professional body piercing, fine and demi-fine jewelry, loose diamonds, custom jewelry, repairs, appraisals, and personalized jewelry services. For piercing and ear styling, I work with implant-grade titanium and focus on proper placement, quality jewelry, sanitation, and client education. One of the things that makes my company different is that we go where our clients are. Instead of relying solely on a traditional storefront, Brazen Beauties has built its presence through private appointments, festivals, markets, conventions, community events, bridal experiences, and pop-ups throughout the tri-state area and beyond. In just two years, I’ve participated in more than 200 pop-up events, giving me the opportunity to meet thousands of people face-to-face and learn exactly what today’s jewelry customer wants: quality, education, individuality, convenience, and an experience they can remember.
