🍁🍦The Story Behind Chilly Tails & Trails Scoops, LLC🍦🍁 Chilly Tails & Trails Scoops is a family-founded business inspired by love for dogs, creativity, and a desire to offer pups more exciting frozen treat options. The idea began with a simple question: if humans can enjoy smoothies made with ingredients chosen for wellness, why shouldn’t dogs have more nutritious and flavorful choices, too? The inspiration became personal through Tahoe, our Catahoula Leopard Dog, who has several food allergies. Joking about his sensitive diet and supposed wolf ancestry eventually sparked a dream: creating unique dog ice cream made with thoughtfully selected ingredients that are all-natural and organic. My children and I work together to develop each flavor. Weeknights are spent researching ingredients, considering their potential benefits, brainstorming combinations, and creating fun names. On weekends, we make and package every cup by hand, share samples and business cards, and introduce our products to dogs and their humans. My two elementary-aged children are an important part of the journey. They help bring ideas to life while learning about creativity, responsibility, hard work, and entrepreneurship. Their excitement when a dog enjoys one of our scoops is one of the most rewarding parts of building this business. Chilly Tails & Trails Scoops is more than dog ice cream. It is a family story about turning a joke into something meaningful, pursuing a dream together, and celebrating the unconditional love dogs bring into our lives. We are still growing, learning, and creating, with the hope of bringing happiness to as many pups as possible.
