Our story

When I moved to Minnesota at age 30, I was looking for ways to meet other adults and decided to take a pottery class. Now ten years later, I’ve discovered a passion for using clay to create unique, quirky, and whimsical pieces. I’ve carried that same creative spirit into my love of crochet, where I focus on developing plant- and nature-inspired work. As a science & STEM teacher and theater director by day, I find that pottery and crochet offer a space for personal joy, curiosity, and creative expression. I work hard to create pieces that bring me joy and that you can't find anywhere else. All of my pottery is hand-built with slab work using plants, animals, and texture to guide my choices. Most of my pottery would be considered "non-functional," i.e., no plates, cups, or bowls; I create mostly vases, wind chimes, earrings, and MN-inspired work (MN coasters, loon ornaments, etc.). The predominant inspiration for my crochet work is botanicals and nature, where I offer hanging vines, cacti, succulents, and flowers. Notable Shows in 2024 and 2025: Eden Prairie Arts in the Park; Austin Artworks Festival; Northfield Riverwalk Art Festival (Defeat of Jesse James Days through Northfield Art Guild); Lindstrom Art on the Block; Rochester Thursdays Downtown; Northfield Riverwalk Farmers Market; Norwood Young America Stiftungfest; Maker Fair
