Following the Grain

Following the Grain is a small artisan business based in Bangor, Pennsylvania, specializing in one-of-a-kind nature-inspired sculptures and home decor. I create original artwork using naturally weathered wood, driftwood, and organic materials gathered from forest floors, riverbanks, and waterways. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to highlight the natural character, textures, and grain of the wood. My work includes sculptural wood art, woodland mushroom scenes, and everlasting botanical arrangements featuring realistic artificial succulents and greenery. What makes Following the Grain unique is that no two pieces are alike. Rather than forcing nature into a predetermined design, I allow the natural shapes and imperfections of each piece of wood to guide the creative process. My artwork is currently available through several Pennsylvania retail partners, and I am expanding into artisan markets, craft fairs, and festivals throughout the region.
