Thorn and flame metalwork

My name is Johanna Malone, I own a small jewelry business called Thorn and Flame. I started metalworking and making jewelry in October of last year. I am a labor and delivery nurse full time, working three 12 hour shifts a week. I was using my four days off a week to doom scroll and lay in bed, and I realized I needed a hobby. I bought jewelers brass and soldering materials and taught myself metalsmithing in my bedroom. Making jewelry has quickly gone from a hobby to a passion for me. I take a lot of inspiration from vintage jewelry, and I love reworking vintage pieces into modern styles ! I also love using natural gemstones and letting them speak for themselves in my designs. I do not outsource any designing, casting or fabrication. Everything is made by hand by me!
