Stray Hound

I work primarily in field of traditional functional pottery, but expressed through a few different lenses. Through one lense I explore classic traditional forms decorated with currently relevant cultural themes based in street art or a pop art styles. Through another lense I make traditional utilitarian ceramics with a personal touch. Through another lense I explore wheel thrown forms and colors that present them selves as stand alone sculptures. Through the final lense, I explore and share historical and primitive firing techniques and their impact on how civilizations and societies survived and thrived through craft and evolved and progressed through art and expanded ideas. With all lenses considering the preservation of history and hand made craft.
