I'm a writer, editor and artist who makes bookish and whimsical mixed media art, including bookmarks of various sizes, art cards, together with smaller and larger pieces which are matted and/or framed. Featured images and themes include nature -- especially trees and mushrooms -- and both whimsical and dramatic fairies, mermaids, and other magical creatures. Most images are created with rubber and clear stamps, and I work primarily with Lavinia Stamps for their incredible detail and appreciation for all things magical. Other media used for mixed media include watercolor, gouache, inks with watercolor-like features like dye inks and other stamping inks, as well as eco-friendly additions like mica. Surfaces are watercolor paper, Bristol paper, and heavyweight cardstock. In addition, I am adding photography back to my creative life and images are similar, with lots of trees, ivy, and mushrooms.
