AGUA-CHELADA™ — “Sin la Chela” is a new San Jose small business specializing in refreshing, non-alcoholic michelada-inspired beverages. Our signature drink, La Original, is a 24 oz specialty beverage made with our savory tomato-based Chelada blend, citrus, seasonings, and sparkling water for a tangy, salty, and refreshing drink — all without alcohol. Our beverages will be prepared and served on-site at the market for consumption after purchase using commercially packaged ingredients in accordance with applicable Temporary Food Facility requirements. We do not cook or use propane, open flames, or cooking equipment. Our cold-service setup will include three dedicated 62-quart coolers: one exclusively for beverage ice, one for our prepared Chelada blend and ingredients requiring cold holding, and one for chilled commercially packaged sparkling water. The Chelada blend and other ingredients requiring refrigeration will be maintained at appropriate cold-holding temperatures throughout market service. Our initial menu will focus exclusively on our signature 24 oz La Original AGUA-CHELADA™, priced at $11 per drink. Our booth will feature a clean, minimal 10’ x 10’ canopy with four mesh sidewalls, a covered service table, branded signage/menu, and an organized beverage preparation and cold-storage area. The mesh enclosure will help maintain a clean and protected beverage-preparation environment while allowing for customer service at the designated service area. We are excited to introduce a non-alcoholic beverage option and hope to become a consistent local vendor.
