Our story

Making for Mary is a handmade crochet business established in 2018 and based in Roseneath, Ontario. I create a variety of crocheted products, including amigurumi plush animals, reusable cotton dishcloths, tote bags, home accessories, seasonal décor, and thoughtfully curated gift items. I’m intentional about the products I create, considering not only their design and quality, but also their purpose and the experience they offer. From choosing colours and materials to the finishing details, packaging, and presentation, every element is thoughtfully considered. My goal is to create pieces that are beautiful, functional, or meaningful, and that bring a sense of joy, comfort, or connection to the person receiving them. In addition to my handmade products, I design and host hands-on crochet workshops for a variety of skill levels. Each workshop is thoughtfully planned to create a welcoming, relaxed environment where participants can learn new skills, enjoy the creative process, and take pride in something they’ve made themselves. Just as importantly, these gatherings provide opportunities for conversation, laughter, and meaningful connections. I believe the connections made along the way are just as important as the things we create, and that philosophy is at the heart of Making for Mary.
