Moonwake Wares was formed out of an innocent date night idea. The date night at home with her husband quickly turned into something Delaney Parks could not resist—an irresistible need to make beautiful and unusual items by herself. Located in Tallahassee, Moonwake Wares is a continuation of Delaney’s longstanding interest in odd objects and Florida’s wilderness. Being now a mother of a baby girl, Delaney is running her company from the comfort of her home studio, around her daughter’s sleep and other convenient hours. Everything starts with an intuitive inspiration and an eye of a magpie for pretty rocks, for people who find mystical, macabre, and strange appealing. Starting as a regular date night, the company has grown into a booth resembling a curiosity store.
