Unhinged Pottery

Unhinged Pottery is a Black-owned, woman-owned ceramic design studio, created by Daedra Staten, a washed up attorney and exhausted antiracism educator. In need of an artistic outlet, Unhinged started as a hobby and quickly became an obsession. Unhinged's handmade ceramics are both wheel thrown and handbuilt, with a clear focus on functionalware. Think items for your kitchen and home, including: extra large bowls (Daedra's specialty), serving dishes, sets of blates (a bowl/plate hybrid for everyday use), spoon rests, utensils crocks, sets of small prep bowls, olive oil cruets, mugs, tumblers, and more. Unhinged's signature style is rustic-chic: old meets new, function meets style. Design elements from color palette to color variation across pieces to distinct shapes reflect nature and the earth from which all ceramics come. Unhinged is based out of North Hollywood, CA.
