Our story
Ichigo Mart is a queer and Asian-Canadian artist who adores acrylic painting, beading, and all things cute and crafty. Her work is inspired by cozy and nostalgic vibes, adorable characters, anime, videogames, and other forms of pop-culture and geeky interests. She takes inspiration from: Nintendo games, Studio Ghibli, Miffy, and more. Her adoration for food and desserts also shines through in her art, being a former graduate from baking and pastry school. Her art pieces can be purchased as high-quality prints as well as canvas tote bags, clay pins and magnets, individual stickers, baseball caps, bucket hats, mugs, mousepads, trinket carriers, and sticker sheets. She also features handmade beaded creations and jewelry such as adorable earrings, barrettes, acrylic keychains, and phone charms. She’s heavily inspired by themes of nostalgia, cuteness, bright colours, and subjects that ignite joy. Her best sellers have been her “silly goose” iron-on patches, our button hair clips, and trinket-themed tote bags with zippers. She prioritizes having a whimsical, playful, and eye-catching display for my booth. Interactive elements are a must, so she offers a 25 cents gacha machine for visitors to receive a capsule with a sticker inside (it looks like a gumball machine!). She offers over 15 different types of products at a time at her booth, so there is something for every event attendee.
