Our story

The Heart Behind House of Bread House of Bread began in 2025 with a simple nudge from the Lord and a whole lot of faith. I had never baked sourdough before, didn’t have a starter, and honestly had no idea what I was doing! But I felt the Lord calling me to take a step of faith, and what started as a small act of obedience has grown into something so special to me. The name House of Bread holds a beautiful meaning. Bethlehem means “house of bread,” and Jesus reminds us that He is the Bread of Life. I love how something as simple as bread can bring people to the table, create connection, and make a house feel a little more like home. My prayer is that House of Bread can be a small reflection of His goodness and a way to love and serve the people around me. Today, I get to share homemade sourdough loaves, specialty breads, focaccia, scones, cinnamon rolls, sweet rolls, and select gluten-free treats with my community. More than anything, I hope every loaf carries a little warmth, a little joy, and a reminder of the Lord’s faithfulness. My heart is to bring people together, build community, and use what God has placed in my hands to give back and support local ministries. I’m so thankful the Lord invited me into something I never would have imagined for myself. House of Bread is more than a bakery to me. It’s a reminder that sometimes God asks us to take the first step before we know how it will all unfold—and He can grow something beautiful from a simple yes.
