Carina Barajas Art

I am a painter and I use acrylic , oils, and sometimes gouache paint. My most recent work features acrylic underpaintings with layers of oil paint over it, but I like the underpaintings to come through in the finished work. I paint on canvas, cradled wood panels, mixed media paper (framed,) and occasionally will make mini paintings on circular wood magnets. I like to paint what I am inspired by at the moment whether it's paintings about my cultural heritage, vegetables from my garden, landscapes from my travels, and more. I would say that my work leans towards impressionism.
