Leather & Lilacs

I’m Amanda, creator of Leather & Lilacs, a local Massachusetts artist who loves learning, experimenting, and finding new possibilities in old techniques. My work includes tatted lace and Viking knit jewelry, wirework, paintings, watercolors, illustrations, kinusaiga, and digital art, along with designs available on clothing and other goods through Redbubble. Nature is a constant source of inspiration, especially the details that are easy to overlook: bugs, snails, slugs, mushrooms, trees, seed pods, feathers, and other wonderfully strange things. I love finding beauty and personality in the natural world, whether it’s traditionally pretty or a little weird. I especially enjoy the slow, hands-on process of traditional crafts and discovering how they can become something unexpected and new.
