Our story
I started doing taxidermy in college- collecting bones and cleaning them as well as creating wet specimens. My major was anthrozoology, so It came naturally to me. Ive always thought taxidermy was a beautiful way to honor an animal. I continued cleaning bones and making wet specimens throughout my college career, and a few years after I graduated, I learned to create hard mounts. I started with mice- but quickly moved on to rats and other small mammals. With each specimen I felt that my expertise grew, and as time passed by I finally felt confident in my technique, got the proper permits, and started Bea's Rats Taxidermy Art (@beasrats).
