Hi, my name is Shannon. I’m a single mom, animal lover, and someone who has always had a heart for helping people. I worked in the medical field for several years, and because of that hard work, I was able to buy my first home in November of 2013. But just a few months later, in January of 2014, my life changed. I was in a serious car accident that left me unable to continue working in the medical field because of my injuries. Over the years, I tried different ways to rebuild. I started a cleaning business, but it became too hard on my body. Then I started making glitter tumblers and selling jewelry, trying to find something that worked for me. Then in September of 2021, one of the worst things imaginable happened. Our house caught fire, and we lost everything in just 20 minutes. While trying to recover emotionally and manage the anxiety after the fire, I decided I still wanted to help people in some way. So in March of 2022, I started my business, Sunflower Events & More LLC. I began organizing craft and vendor shows to help support small businesses, crafters, and vendors in our community. At one point, I was running three shows a month across different areas of Berks County, Pennsylvania. Right now, I currently host one show each month at Keystone Steam Fire Engine Company #1 in Boyertown, located at 240 North Walnut Street, Boyertown, PA. Our next show is May 16th from 10 AM to 3 PM. My goal is to continue growing these events, bringing in more foot traffic, more vendors, and more support for small businesses in our area.
