Trembita Studio LLC

My work is focused on preserving and sharing authentic Ukrainian craftsmanship. Everything we carry at Trembita Studio is completely handmade in Ukraine by independent and small family artisans, many of whom have practiced their craft for generations. From preparing the wool to weaving each rug and blanket, every step is done by hand using traditional techniques passed down through generations. Our collection includes one-of-a-kind handwoven wool rugs and throws, ceramics, jewelry, and home décor. We also carry traditional Kosiv ceramics, whose painted ceramic tradition is recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. Many of our collections are produced in extremely small batches—often only 1 to 5 pieces of a particular design exist. Because everything is handmade rather than mass-produced, every piece has its own colors, textures, small imperfections, and character. No two are exactly alike. The war has deeply affected Ukrainian families, artisan communities, and cultural traditions. We do not want these crafts, stories, and generations of knowledge to disappear. Our mission is to help preserve Ukrainian cultural heritage, support artisan families directly, and introduce their work to a wider audience in the United States. For us, these are not simply rugs, blankets, ceramics, or pieces of jewelry. Each item carries history, identity, tradition, and the hands of the person who made it. That connection between the artisan, Ukrainian heritage, and the person who brings the piece into their home is what makes Trembita Studio special.
