My hand crafted artisan jewelry includes earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and rings all made in my little studio in my home. All polishing cutting and settings are made by metalsmithing. All my jewelry is created by me alone. I work in Sterling Silver and occasionally accent with copper, brass or gold. All jewels are real, such as Turquoise, Lazuli Lapis as well as other semi-precious stones. Petoskey stones and Lake Michigan Beach glass, Leland Blue and Frankfort Green are all picked up straight off our beautiful Lake Michigan shorelines! I have always been a Rock hound. After I aquired a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) I had to learn to do most everything: walk, talk, eat, drive, you name it all over again. Part of that learning to walk meant my physical therapist took me down to Lake Michigan. I would find beach glass, Leland glass, and Petoskeys tumbling in the Lake while "gait training ". When I find a piece, glass, or a Petoskey, I feel in the right spot at the right time. I had to take many metalsmithing classes over several times as I couldn't remember all the steps. It took me 6 years to finally get all the skills to stick! I like to think that all my pieces are one of a kind because I won't remember the same design twice! During production, sometimes the metal doesn't cooperate, or I get new ideas on the fly and change directions. Bespoke to me, means "meant to be, something that touches you or moves you." That's what I want to convey in my pieces. I want customers to feel something or be reminded of something, almost like it calls to you. Many of my customers say, "I just HAVE to have this!! Yup, it's meant to be !
