Second Turn Woodworking

I love the process of gathering wood logs previously dis-guarded and destined for firewood or the landfill, and the dozens of decisions made processing them to their best form to reveal their unique inner beauty of grain patterns and features. Some of this work becomes highly functional wood bowls for daily use, some becomes decorative small dishes for candy to keys, smaller pieces are made into twig pots or desk top pen holders so they are not wasted, and the highly prized sections such as burls become decorative art.
