Our story
Founded in 2024, Brooklyn-based ceramic artist Melissa Scott crafts stardust and soil into everyday enjoyment! Inspired by nature, Melissa's whimsical creations bring joy to your daily routines. It is Kettle & Kame Clay Studio's mission to enhance daily life with hand-made pottery and jewelry made sustainably from the bounty of the earth's clay and minerals.
Melissa began by crafting pottery for everyday use including large mugs, vases, and bowls. Very soon after, a burgeoning jewelry line developed. Each piece is made by layering and marbleizing multicolored clays into unique forms. Highlights include; hand-painted NYC pigeons, clay heart "stones", moons & stars, and flower collections.
