Mount Sinai Crafts

Mount Sinai Crafts creates handwoven handbags made in Jamestown, Rhode Island, using traditional Japanese weaving techniques and paper rattan (eco craft band) sourced directly from Japan. Each bag is woven entirely by hand, mostly in yotsudatami-ami (square knot weave) and hanamusubi patterns, and takes anywhere from several hours to several days to complete. Alongside classic Japanese styles, I design my own modern pieces, finished with details like pearls and metal accents. My signature design, Eve, is a small crossbody made for life's essentials (phone, cards, lipstick) that also works as a pouch inside a larger purse. It's named after the first woman God created. My collection also includes the Phoebe style. I see every bag as a wearable piece of art: lightweight, durable, eco-conscious, and made with care from start to finish.
