Our story
After all the fightin’ was done in Texas, they say he lived with the gators in the Sabine Bottoms. It was there that he cooked up what was to become the most sought after barbeque sauce in the Republic.
Folks used to sneak out to Jack’s Camp just to catch a whiff of this legendary recipe as it boiled and churned in the old iron pots.
Every time the outlaws were gathered around the chuck wagon over at Devil’s Pocket, some ol’ desperado would recall the eerie last words of Handsome Jack.
“I’ll be gone soon, but this sauce will live forever,” he whispered with a voodoo smile.
And somewhere along the banks of the Sabine River there’s always a camp just out of reach. With the embers still ablaze, and the smell of that legendary sauce hangin’ in the air.
Whether you’re an old trail hand with a penchant for good cookin’, or just stumbled across one of the best kept secrets in Texas, you gotta have this bottle.
One taste is all it takes.
