Our story

My love of flowers began early — long before I understood it as a passion, let alone a craft. I grew up working in my parents’ garden center. There, I learned the fundamentals of plant care, the art of floral arranging, and everything there was to know about Christmas greenery. That early education stayed with me, but it wasn’t until I moved to our home in Marblehead that I truly found the space to make gardening my own. The garden beds had been lovingly tended by the home’s previous owner. I felt fortunate to inherit that foundation. Over the years, though, I’ve reshaped and grown them into something that feels mine entirely. With a garden full of blooms at my fingertips, my passion for floral design took root in earnest. I began creating arrangements for my own home and, in time, for several non-profits I’m proud to support. I found joy in the way flowers can mark an occasion, honor a cause, or simply bring a little beauty into someone’s day. Wanting to deepen that craft, I completed a certification in floral design. From there, my curiosity carried me further still — into the art of Ikebana and the sculptural discipline of bonsai. Each has taught me something different about form, restraint, and the quiet beauty of natural materials. That lifelong love of flowers has now grown into something new: the Poppet Floral Store. This fall, I’m excited to open our doors with a collection of handcrafted, all-natural wreaths — many made using botanicals preserved from my own garden. Each piece is composed entirely by hand, a reflection of everything I’ve learned along the way. Poppet Floral is where all of that comes together: a lifetime of growing, gathering, and arranging, now shared with you. I look forward to having you along for the journey.
