Common questions
What if nobody applies?+
If your promotion runs its full window and you receive zero vendor inquiries, email us and we'll either extend it free of charge or refund your purchase. We'd rather have organizers stick around than a one-time payment that left a bad taste.
Can I cancel or refund?+
Promotions are one-time purchases that activate immediately. You can stop a promotion at any time by emailing us, and we'll refund any unused weeks pro-rata. No fine print.
What does Featured placement actually look like?+
A gold ring around your map pin, a 'Featured' pill on event cards across the map sidebar, state pages, city pages, and search results. Your event jumps to the top of every relevant list for the duration of your tier.
Who sees the email digest?+
Vendors within 75 miles of your event who have opted in to nearby-event emails. The digest is plain-text and lands in Gmail Primary, not Promotions.
When does the next email blast go out?+
The vendor digest fires once a week. Your slot is included on the first digest after your purchase clears, and runs for the number of weeks in your tier (4 for Spotlight + Email, 12 for Premium).
Can I promote a free event?+
Yes. Booth fee, attendance, and date aren't restricted. The only requirement is that your event already exists on VendorsMap and you've accepted the Promoter Terms below.
Promoter Terms
Paid-promoted events are held to a higher standard than free listings. By purchasing a promotion, you agree:
- No misleading information about your event, fees, dates, attendance, or organizer identity.
- No discrimination, harassment, or fraud against vendors.
- Respond to vendor inquiries you receive through the promotion within a reasonable window.
Violations result in immediate listing and account termination without refund.
Free listings retain the option to use external application URLs. These restrictions apply only to organizers who pay for promotion via Spotlight, Spotlight + Email, or Premium tiers.
