About this market
The Bristol Christmas Festival & Austrian Market is a free two-day holiday celebration in Unity Park, Bristol, Rhode Island, run by a volunteer committee as a not-for-profit town event. Somewhere between 8,000 and 12,000 people come through across the weekend for the European-style holiday market, the artisan vendors and the entertainment, which runs all day on both days. This is the vendor marketplace at the heart of it. We are taking applications for 50 vendor spaces across the two days: 30 craft and artisan makers 10 packaged food and drink producers 10 food vendors cooking on site Craft and packaged food vendors are set up INDOORS, across two Unity Park businesses: Pivotal Brewing Co. (unit 111) and O'Brien and Brough (unit 112). Tables and water are provided indoors. Power is not provided. Food vendors cooking on site work OUTDOORS under tents in the park. We are not taking food trucks, trailers or carts. If you cook on site, choose "Cooking on-site" in the Food Vendor Details section of the application so we can place you correctly. Every food and drink vendor needs two licences: a Rhode Island Department of Health mobile food vendor licence AND a Town of Bristol licence. Both are required whether your food is packaged or cooked on site, with no exceptions. Apply for the Town of Bristol licence (Mobile Food Establishment permit) here, after you have your state licence: https://bristolri.viewpointcloud.com/categories/1079/record-types/6438 Upload both from your dashboard after you apply. The Department of Health needs your licence application at least 30 days before the event, so food vendors should apply to us by 1 November. Every vendor cooking or serving food outdoors must also be on the food vendor list we file with the Town of Bristol at Town Hall. Saturday 5 December and Sunday 6 December, 12:00pm to 5:00pm both days. Booths are $240 for the whole weekend, or $120 for a single day (Saturday or Sunday). Vendors should be set up by 10:00am. Parking is in the park and on the surrounding streets and it does fill up, so allow time to walk in.
